1964 Ford Falcon Futura

Welcome to Down On The Street, where we admire old vehicles on the the Island That Rust Forgot: Alameda, California. Readers spotted an XR4Ti in photos of last week's DOTS R107, so I went back… and found this Falcon instead!

It sports an old Morris Landy Ford license plate frame, which means it was likely bought from the now-defunct Alameda Ford dealership that had the slogan "Another Dandy From Morris Landy," but this is the first time I've seen this extremely straight Futura around town. No doubt it lives in a garage most of the time.

Yes, the same engine that Carroll Shelby used in the first Cobra, and one of my favorite displacement badges of all time. Does the Ford 260 emblem look as cool as the old Pontiac 421 badge? Discuss.
