Last week we shared with you the sad news that Volkswagen dealers whined loudly enough about potentially lost GTI sales to keep the Scirocco off of US soil. This week we're telling you, "not so fast." According to Motor Authorityby way of Autoweek Bossman Martin Winterkorn is flexing his VAG muscles and telling whiny dealers that he — not them — is the decider. And, depending on how he decides, the Scirocco might be here after next year's Geneva show. So, like, maybe. Though we have a feeling that Martin is more concerned about asserting his authority over the plebs than he is about delivering another hot hatch to us barbarians Americans.
