The 2011 BMW M5 will likely drop its V10 in favor of a torquey 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 pumping out an expected 540 HP. Rumors aside, these spy photos clearly show a brawnier Bimmer with quad exhaust pipes.

Of course, it's also possible the rumor-mill is wrong and we're actually getting a twin-turbo V10 or something equally ridiculous. Other rumors suggest it could be getting a carbon fiber roof, F1-Style KERS system and use lots of aluminum. Either way, we hope we get more than just the seven-speed dual-clutch manumatic because daddy likes to shift his own gears.
