Although his life may have been taken on the launch pad during testing of the Apollo 1 — Grissom's land rocket lives on. It's a vehicle with a glove-like fit into his lifestyle of adrenalin, danger and speed. It was a 1967 Corvette 427/435, specially modified with a 4:56 rear end to really make it lift off in those 1/4 miles. The car's wandered through owners for the past 30 years — and now can be yours. Our friends over at CorvetteBlogger dropped us a tip that the 'vette is now up for sale on eBay. So if you're either a Corvette or history buff — and you've got an extra $180,000 to drop — you can find out if you've got the "Right Stuff" — or if you're just "Hangin' Tough."
