Here's something we don't get, although we're sure it has something to do with intensive market research that included 8x10 color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was. Why did Land Rover toss the Discovery and Freelander nameplates in the US but continue to use them here? Surely their reputation for British unreliability and suckiness was universal.
