Well, it looks like the pie chart of US market share appears to be getting ever smaller for traditional US automakers this year, as they see another disappointing drop in sales for the month of May. Ford's May sales saw a 6% drop โ€” led by flagging sales in their F-Series trucks, despite all of Toby Keith's hard work. Chrysler saw greater declines, of 11%. The General'll be dropping their sales numbers later in the day โ€” probably waiting until after the markets close. Toyota on the other hand, saw a 12.3% increase in sales, no doubt led by either the perception of higher-mileage cars โ€” or the fact that they have higher mileage cars.
