Lotus fans are awash in delight these days, so it's a good thing the company's releasing a hardtop version of its nearly open-wheel 340R this week to keep them relatively dry (don't ask). The hardtop, special edition of the 340R roadster, itself a special edition of the Elise built by aftermarket supplier ReVerie, was five years in the making. According to reports, most of that time was spent figuring how to build a set of gullwing doors out of a fly's wings to save weight.
