I Told You The 2016 Chevy Camaro's V6 Exhaust Note Sounded Good

I know what you’re thinking. “V8 Camaro or bust.” I too, love the soundtrack of a small-block V8 pushing power to the rear tires, as god intended. But the V6 does impressive audio too. My colleague Andrew Collins mentioned how the exhaust is his second-favorite thing on the new 2016 Camaro, I’m here to prove his point—with pure, unadulterated video.

You won’t hear any royalty-free music or vocal commentating. What you will hear is the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro V6’s exhaust, through Chevy’s “dual-mode” performance exhaust. In the default “Tour” mode it’s quiet, but you don’t want to watch a video about that.

This is in the enthusiast’s “Sport Mode” where the twin valves in the tailpipes open up, providing the full crescendo. At certain points, I would swear I was driving a Porsche 911.

But don’t take my word for it, click the damn video and listen.

Slowly but surely the V6 Camaro and Mustang aren’t becoming something to laugh at anymore. Pushing the same HP numbers as V8’s from the early 2000’s, with a ridiculous amount of performance parts that can be added to them, these cars are becoming more and more impressive.

Sounds great to me.
