State Troopers and detectives from Bloomfield, New Jersey managed to stop an alleged kidnapper and rescue the child on the site of the highway following the issuing of an Amber Alert.

The stop was captured on one of the Trooper’s dash cams, showing police vehicles maneuvering the van to the side of the road, with officers rushing to rescue the child while simultaneously apprehending the driver.

It’s a great showcase of justice served swiftly and safely, and the organization and training of a police force being executed to perfection. As the Facebook post from the New Jersey State Police points out, it could have been far far worse.

This is why it’s important to pay attention to Amber Alerts - a child got to return home yesterday because somebody did. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard anyone call cops everyday heroes, but these guys today deserve it.

Well done to those cops. It is great to see the Amber Alert system really d its job. One thing I will point out though— Those grey NJ State Trooper Uniforms with the patent leather shoulder straps look waaaay too SS-like for my liking.
