What does it look and sound like to set a record lap time of 8m 10.921s in the Nurburgring 24 Hours? You may never know, but the French McLaren GT factory driver Kevin Estre does. He qualified the Doerr Motorsport McLaren 12C GT3 on pole position for the race.

Video from the GT3's onboard cameras show Estre's ridiculously fast pace, obviously taking as straight a path as the curvature of the track allows. In the end, he set a record lap time which was more than 6 seconds faster than that of the previous record holder.

Oh, and he left his competitors in the dust, too. He was 2.5s ahead of the nearest one when he finished the lap.

Damn.
