Oh. D'oh. The recall woes just keep piling up for DCX. Yesterday they were getting set to recall 1.5 million Jeeps and Dodges due to emissions problems, two days before they were ranked as having the highest number of cars recalled in Germany, and now they're prying over sixty thousand '05 and '06 C-Classes out of their owners' hands due to a fault with the airbags discovered in government compliance testing.

Mercedes-Benz spokesman Rob Moran said the automaker did not "feel this represents a risk in real-world situations, only in this clinical situation." Still, Rob, you'd think with all of the brainiacs in your engineering department, they could at least get a damn airbag to government spec. Sheesh.
