VW has announced that it will indeed build the body shells for kissin'-cousin/sugar-daddy Porsche's entree into the sport sedan market, the Panamera. Originally thought by pundits to possibly be built alongside the near moribund VW Phaeton at Volkswagen's showcase plant in Dresden, it turns out the Porsche bodies will be stamped, welded and painted at the company's main plant in Wolfsburg, as the Dresden plant is filling excess demand by building hot-selling Bentley Flying Spurs.
