Dodge won't pin the Stratus badge on its next-generation midsize sedan. Instead, it will reportedly go with Avenger, a name that badged a Dodge sport coupe during the late 1990s. Dodge also chose the Avenger name for the 2003 concept vehicle (pictured), which introduced the world to the new, car-truck design direction that will launch with the 2007 Caliber. We're not sure what form the Avenger's revenge will take (and on whom? Toyota Camrys?), but if car-on-car tire slashings rise in the midsize segment, we'll have a suspect.
