Perennial also-ran, Suzuki will one day rule the world. Until that day, we'll just have to make do with incrementally better small SUVs, like the new Grand Vitara the company will show in Frankfurt. The company released pictures today of a refined small SUV โ€” heavily influenced by the Concept-X2 the company unveiled at the New York Auto Show earlier this year โ€” that will replace its aging Grand Vitara. The new generation GV, in European trim, will be offered in five- and three-door models, in petrol and diesel powerplants. Both models will feature an all-new Suzuki-designed full-time 4x4 system. The new models are the first to offer unit-body construction, though a ladder-frame assembly is "built in" somehow to increase rigidity.
