Despite months of fervent speculation by yours truly and many other onliners, VW has delayed its decision to build a small SUV, dubbed Beduin. While the company stopped short of saying the project was shelved, it did insinuate the reasons for the delay were financial. The company has been implementing a drastic plan to cut 1.3 billion in costs, which has likely taken its toll on production plans across the company's car brands. No word on when the final word will come down.
