The overall drop in SUV sales, this year, is making Porsche nervous enough to say the world "hybrid" in the same sentence as "Cayenne." The Detroit News is reporting the company will reveal details, at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September, on a new plan to create a hybrid-drive Cayenne for the 2008-2009 model year, and is looking for industry partners with which to collaborate. Such a scenario also implies the powertrain will be used to squelch the gas-guzzling ways of Volkswagen's Touareg as well.
