With every Lotus Elise sporting a tuner-ready 1.8-liter Toyota engine, we expect to see many more of these modded-up versions appear in the coming years. Particularly of note to tuners of the Elise is the near exponential effect of adding, say, 75hp to a 1,900lb car that began life with 200 horses of its own. This fine-tuned Elise, elegantly juiced by Brett Payne of Forced Fed using a Garrett GT28R turbocharger, Spearco intercooler and an updated ECU, can be yours for a mere $8,700 (installed) over the price of the car, or around $50,000 total.
