Is This The 2015 Porsche 911 Hybrid?

What looks like an average Porsche 991 Carrera at first has a surprise in its back seat that looks like some kind of electrical engine or battery pack. Is this the 18th 911 'hybrid' variant we've been waiting for?

Everyone says this is the 2015 Porsche 911 GTS, but how about this one? The hard fact is that Porsche gained a lot of experience with hybrid technology through the GT3 R Hybrid program and the development of the 918 Spyder, and that knowledge already made its way into series production with the Panamera Hybrid and the upcoming plug-in Macan.

So, is the 911 the next in line?

The following video and these 'leaked patent drawings' say yes. A Turbo S with a hybrid drivetrain could easily go above the 700 hp mark if we remember that the Panamera's electric motor adds 95 horses to the mix. Add zero-emission cruising to the picture, and Porsche could have another winner in the bag.
