So, how big is this thing? That's what I want to know. Kudos for the de-Bangleization, but, really, how big is it? The current 3-Series looks to me (and no, I haven't measured) like it's about the size of an old 5-Series. So, as BMW moves "forward", is the forthcoming 3-Series going to be the size of a 7-Series? Or maybe a tractor? Yeah, that's it. the next 3-Series will be the size of a Massey-Ferguson tractor, and the next 7-Series will be the size of the oft-mentioned (on Jalopnik anyway) Unimog.

Great. Now only if my condo complex allowed for a wheat field.

Diesel=Awsome

4.25 a gallon = Not awsome.

Its killing our torquemonster E320 CDI. Still gets low 30s, but expensive diesel is murderous.

Schm, preparing for the financalapocalypse, reading Camus and dreaming sweet dreams of G-Wagens and Facel Vegas. . .

It looks like the tail lights are getting closer to those on the coupe. If only the rest of the rear would follow suit.

I like how now that I'm older I can simultaneously read words/numbers and see a picture/scene and have two registrations for the same item. Scrolling down, my crazy head argued the article read " BMW," but the back of the car appeared as "Civic." I realize it is covered in camo-tape, but the product recognition was not there. As of late, that might be a good indication that BMW styling is in recovery.

@layabout: Praise Diesel! From what I heard it's 265-hp, 425-lb.ft. torque--but that was back in April. No sir, nothing to sneeze at indeed. It would wipe the floor with the old E46 328i with it's 193-hp I use to drive 9 years ago.

As long as they deBangle it as much as possible it's a win in my book. And @junkman: diesels have almost been forgotten by most of the performance crowd--save for Audi recently, and the many aftermarket tuners of said engines. But you tell me what the "Godzilla GT-R" crowd would think of a full-size Dodge Ram diesel spanking them in the quarter, like this one.
