Wow, an excellent list. Just awesome. The DeLorean at #1 is a given. Any other vehicle at #1 and I'd be arguing that they'd done the list through the "pull-a-name-from-the-hat" technique.

And I can't even argue with Herbie at #2, although the General, I think deserves to be much lower down the list. It's a TV car that featured in a piece-of-crap parody movie. If this list were made five, ten years from now, they'd be looking through the IMDB to recall if there was actually a "Dukes of Hazzard" movie that would qualify it as a movie car... but they'd still remember, say, ECTO-1.

BeerDearthair

Okay, a lot of people have never heard of The Wraith, let alone seen it, but it is a more memorable car than at least 5 of the cars on that list. Or at least don't give 2 slots to Eleanor, and 2 slots to Italian Job Minis. (they lumped both Bumblebees together, and Herbie got one nod while listing multiple films)

Fair warning: Any time a movie cars post is made, I will mention The Wraith

I'm pretty obsessed about movie cars and think this list is very well done. While my personal list has the Mad Max car in the top 5, in reality its a cult car in a cult movie and #26 is about right, close to the Bullitt Mustang. Plus, they used the correct name, Pursuit Special, which is a minor miracle considering everyone calls it the V8 Interceptor which is incorrect.

Cars like Herbie, ECTO-1, the BTTF Delorean and especially the General Lee are cultural icons moreso than movie props and certainly deserve their high ranking.

Uncle Bo, ironically aestheticized
