Also, for those wondering how this got approved, in VA you can use dmvnow.com to pick your plates. They have some rules for what you cannot pick that are coded into the script that checks the availability of the tag.

So no human probably sees them until they are made, by an inmate (I assume), who is not gonna bring it to anyone's attention.

DMV: Um, I don't know what them letter thingees mean...just write it on my hand with this magic marker, and I'll show it to the guys at the warehouse. I'll have an answer for you in about 6-8 months if you're lucky.
