I'm not sure why some of you guys are so offended by them doing this in traffic. Imagine if they were just driving in a circle around that thing, never exiting. There wouldn't be any accidents. Just because YOU don't know how to drive in a roundabout doesn't mean everyone doesn't. Whether they drive around without exiting normally or whether they drift doesn't really make a difference.

Saw something similar in "real life" last Saturday morning. Sitting at the bus stop, waiting for the airport shuttle so I could fly down to Oslo for the weekend to catch Explosions in the Sky, I heard a flare of revs coming from the roundabout. Look across, and see an E36 3-series holding a nice steady 30° drift angle. The road was a bit damp (it is Norway after all), but it showed nice control. No crazy fish tails or over corrections on the exit either.

Close, but it's actually a 100 S4 with the 4.2l V8. And I'm guessing that he's cut the speed sensor to the rear diff control which allows it to stay permanently locked :-)

that's an UrS6 Avant, not a 100. It has a 2.L 20v I5 Turbo with 227bhp and a six-speed - and it's modified too, from the look of it. A 100 wagon can't get sidways... it can't even get out of it's own way :-P

those quattros are pretty easy to manage in circular drifts like that, wherever you turn, is wherever it goes which is not always the case w/ many cars. Plus, I bet you his tires are incredibly worn. Just my 4 cents (yea bet you only thought i had 2 didn't yuh)

America needs more roundabouts.

Oh, wait, roundabouts require thought and planning to use...nevermind.

After I bought a new GL1800 in '01, I took it to the sole roundabout in town and rode it until I was comfy dragging large surface areas attached by metal, on the ground. It's nice to have a wife who understands why you don't want her on the machine as a passenger until you know what it will do at the limit... It's also nice she doesn't freak out when, at mile 53, there are large scrape marks on the lower surfaces.
