THere's something like bricks holding up the car just behind the front wheel. The rear's got the stock 14s. The front dub is just posing and has absolutely no chance in hell of rolling, turning or doing anythign a wheel is supposed to do.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I hate dubs with a passion. Seriously, my passionate hatred for dubs makes Lenin's feelings for the Czar look warm and fuzzy by comparison. But on the other hand, at least the people who built this one were too poor and/or stupid to find anything other than a Volare. If someone did this to an old Dart or Valiant, I'd probably cry.

@deckard97: Saying the wheels are "worth" anything implies that they have value. These wheels have no value at all, as they're fugly and wreck an already horrible car.
They cost more than the car is worth, to be sure. The worst part is, much better Detroit Malaise Iron isn't hard to get. Why a Volare?

I just don't get it. What is the point of doing this? Here in Vegas, there are a bunch of Caprices and Regals that have 24" wheels and look like they're ready for a trip thru the Rubicon. I don't get it.

And, we've heard about the wheels being worth more than the car. My guess is that the wheels cost more than the car did when new.

It's not like the '76 Volare wasn't already saddled with the reputation as one of the worst cars Chrysler built, now it has to be one of the worst cars now saddled with totally the wrong wheels. I bet it gets great fuel economy, though, with what must be a 1.9:1 final drive ratio equivalent.
