There's an MG 'round these parts that has bald, bald tires. The owner won't change them, though, because they're redwalls - whitewall tires that have been color-matched to the red of the paint. I can think of plenty of potential for cool applications for this but they're pretty much centered on matching or contrasting solid colors.

they have made these for bikes for a while now, the tires they make (at least for mountain bikes) are awful and heavy, for the price you could get something far lighter and with a better tread design, such as a panaracer xc pro or something, i ride stans or continental explorers, far better
