@Ashinine78: Australia has been described by many as one great big state of Texas. I've never been to Texas so can anybody shed any light on this?

Maybe because we have country & western, cowboys, pick-ups, rednecks and hillbillies.

Some say England is the mother country, (They did invade this country in 1788) but really we hate the English more than the whole world hates the French, and for good reason.

During world war 2 we were set to be invaded by the Japs. The English who were fighting with us thought that we were gonners and pulled their forces out south-east Asia and left us to fend for ourselves. Bloody Pommy cowards.
It was the US forces that saved our collective arses in WW2 and kicked the Japs arse. Australia is forever greatfull.
Since then America has been our mother-country, we fight every war that the US fights, we drive their cars (if we can't convert them to RHD we build our own using Aussie ingenuity and an American parts bin). We watch the same TV shows.
Eat the same fatty foods.
We are just another state of America.

The other reason we hate the English was for the 'Bodyline' Cricket series in the 20's but that's another story for another website.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that it's not an official toyota australia ad, the reason being, The flag at the tail end of the thing, that's the northern territory flag, which suggests to me that this is an ad put together for darwin and other various toyota dealers in the NT
