I'd be pretty pissed if I was Ford PR. A former employee of Ford saying he'd never buy a Ford definitely makes me think less of Ford products. Of course people have their own opinions, but if he actually said he'd never buy a foreign product (which makes more sense in context) then I'd be firing off some emails and phone calls towards the AP if I worked in Ford's PR.
