The reasons you must go with the Chrysler are:
1) Whether Wolfington or Armbruster or...? the stretch is WAAAAY beyond the capabilities of the original frame...unless they added an extra 2 tons :-) and whatever that's all definitely rusted through by now (New Hampshire?).
2) The body - rust? Let's just break out the forms and sheet metal now.
3) The brakes probably never worked in the first place.
4) It prob'ly ain't even luxe inside although it might have a push button automatic!!
5) There's probably enough room to add a second drive train in the rear.
6) The Ferrari ain't got fins.

1600mkII

Mopar! A blown 392 HEMI would do nicely. And while frightfully expensive, there are parts for the Ferrari. The Chrysler? Not so much.

Consider that the Ferrari may actually be in running condition, and the Chrysler's been sitting under a tree for 40 years. I'm sure there's not much rust in it.

Again, I say blown 392 HEMI. Who needs all those cams and valves anyway?

Zarba

Voting for which would be the greatest (meaning biggest, not goodest) project car hell, I had to go with the Chrysler. It needs a lot more work, it even appears to be sagging in the middle. As KingRoyale pointed out, the ferrari parts would be a bitch to hunt down, but I don't think that would be much of a problem since most of us would be too ashamed to drive a mutilated ferrari around, so it would stay garaged (curbed?) most of the time. The Chrysler Limo is a project that would really push me to empty my savings and give up all other hobbies to restore.

YankBoffin

At face value, the Chrysler is the bigger hell. It's older, rustier, and more limoified.

But the Ferrari - it's the half-hour mark in an episode of Behind the Music, it's all downhill from there. Between the coke-fueled haze, the parts made of unobtanium (except for that automatic transmission, the only part that'll ever work fine), and the sad knowlege that you'd be better off building yourself a Mazda Cosmo limo (the one that looks like a 400i funnelled through anime design), it will never be as good as the high you get when you slap down your $25k.

Maymar is convinced M.C.
