Saw a Jeep Pickup in the Old Car Trader mag recently for sale. You could tell someone made the body completely out of wood. Looked like the dog's lunch, although someone put a lot of time into it. I just had to ask, "Why?"

Heh I vaguely want a real wooden paneled car now. No wood for the structural parts, since I doubt it'd crumple zone very well, but I think you could probably make a reasonably functional and safe wood-paneled car.
The only downside I can really think of is that every panel would be crazy thick, and you'd have to use some pretty good sealant. And engine fires would probably get real bad real fast...

But still...it'd be pretty neat in some kinda bizarre anachronistic way. You'd be taking it back to the real old school wagons and whatnot.

Wood doesn't belong on ANY car, ESPECIALLY fake wood of any kind (plastic, paint, vinyl, whatever)! Case in point: Dodge Caravan. Fake wood will not make an already ugly vehicle better looking.
