Hmm, needs more bed out back.

I can't peruse EBay from the job so can't see the details on this beast but the fact is, I have a use for something just about like that.

It needs more ground clearance and gun racks for 5-8 rifles or shotguns and room for a couple large range/ammo bags. Then it could be a very useful "day trip to the desert for jack rabbit shooting" rig.

@smalleyxb122: Actually, I believe they bought the rights to the name "Hummer" when they bought AM General. The H1 was already available as a civilian model at the time. Since AM General was the only bit of AMC that Chrysler didn't buy, they already had the rights to the 7 bar grille (which GM bought with the Hummer brand when it bought AM General). A sordid tale, to be sure, but Chrysler will never get Hummer to give up that design through the courts because it's verifiably bought and paid for.

@no_slushbox: GM doesn't have to pay anything to put the name "Hummer" on anything. They own the name. Just like they don't have to pay to label something "Chevrolet".

"Hummer" didn't exist as a brand until GM registered it.

at least this hummer doesn't have the terribly thick pillars surrounding the windows...i could easily stomach the current designs if there was a great deal more glass, or at least what appears to be, than what was offered

I followed the link and this is not a one off, there is a company somewhat mass-producing these things: [e-ride.com] . If it was just a one off I would expect the front end to be more accurate, but since their mass producing it they have to play it a bit more safe, I'm sure GM is shitting themselves over this.

Since the H1 is dead and the H2 is being killed off this might be the future of the Hummer line (anyone want to photoshop an Aveo?). How many billions did GM pay for the right to put the nickname for HUMVEEs on pimped out Tahoes and Colorados?
