I think the V12 diesel was too heavy and too big. What they should do is put in the gas W12.

First I want to blame Porsche for it (what I will do now: §$%" YOU PORSCHE).

But hope is so beautiful, so let's hope because:
- Audi is building the V12 TDI (Q7)
- Audi is building the R8

Ok, now let's shatter our hope:
- Audi would need to develop a lot for a car, which would only be sold in very small numbers (veyron effect). That wouldn't be profitable. But...
- Porsche demands profit

You can't really cannibalize Lambo sales when there are so few Lambo dealers. I see this as more of an "opportunistic supercar" (people buy it because they know Audi and have a dealer nearby, which makes it accessible).

People buying Lambos are going to do it no matter what distance to the dealer. I think the two cars could coexist just fine.

If the R8 is meant to be al super-uber, then leave it so.

On the other hand, the V8 does seem like the more transplantable, versatile, economical, relatively easily maintainable, and basically saleable engine.
