Chop the top, Modify those headlights, and do something about the exhaust/reverse light conundrum, And you have yourself quite the looker. I like it, but it needs more work to be "production", which it probably isn't going to be. But if they make the changes I listed, and give it some horsepower via a turbocharged 4 cylinder, or dare I hope, a V6, and I will be at the Scion dealer within five minutes of unveiling to reserve.

As an afterthought, I do not like that wrap around tinted window look. give it some defined pillars.

The "front" looks exactly like the back of an old 32 ford or other 30s model. Hence the straight up windshield. I swear, that's what they did.

One thing it is good for is polarising opinion.

Personally, I see a good thing.

Some people mentioned steering it from the other end, and it would look like a cute baby lorry, it's true.

But, the old gag about being first to the scene of an accident probably knackers that for an idea.

If they were to leave out all the interior geegaws, then it also looks like a valid base for a small commercial vehicle; pick-up or panel.

@ Mark-S: Definitely Model T and Deuce Vicky to me.

Obviously it's quite a polarizing design, and I absolutely love it. Even in orange. The bolt-upright A pillars are too cool aesthetically, but wouldn't that cause huge wind roar at speed?
Also some chrome Keystone Klassic wheels would be totally tits on that puppy.

A lot people here kill the PT Cruiser and love this thing. It seems like Asian Fever is in fine form. As long as an Asian manufacturer is making it, its great! This thing is hideous. Its Brundle Cruiser. It looks like a horrible fruit fly experiment gone wrong...or the horrible results of botched mating experiment with a Scion X Box and a PT Cruiser.

When I worked at Showcase Cinemas, I used to vacuum the carpets with a non-elected sweeper called the Hako. I think that is where the designer got his/her inspiration.

thought it's hard to tell for sure which way it's supposed to be going.

Hmmm... the more I look at that, the better it looks for going backwards. Spin the seats around, slap the dash in under the rear window, and you have a suicide-doored, rear-drive, rear-engine oddball little machine. I think I like it that way! Maybe even put a little chrome luggage rack on the hood/engine cover.

The way they designed it, not so much.

My favorite part of this design is how it appears to only have one continuous roof element going from the a pillar, back to the rear roof line, swooping around and coming back to the a pillar. It almost looks like a carry handle.

And everyone talking about the windshield rake and rock chips, my friend with an xB has cracked 3 windshields in about 18 months of ownership of it, so I don't know how much a minor tweak would do anything. Perhaps they can play with how the air flows over the hood to have the wind strike at the peak of the roof line or something.

I'm not sold on the design, but the idea is unique, and maybe with a few changes it would not be so bad. The specifics on this thing don't really matter, it is obviously not ready for production. i actually have a design i made a few months back that's very similar. side view has no-rake windshield but it's actually a curved semi-circle when viewed from the top.

you get that flat front look with sweet aero. i think that treatment would make this stunning.
