Those of us who read the HAMB saw the buildup, the body is all steel, using a generic late 20's cowl and '59 Plymouth quarter panels. The tail pan is a narrowed leading edge of a 60-61 Chevy truck hood and the trunklid was rolled out on an english wheel.

It's really very well done, and the coolest part is the guy will actually drive it.

Where did the reference to a '59 Mercury come from? I don't know that there is anything from a '59 Merc in it.
