As much as I consider myself a cinema buff, enjoying great storytelling, perfectly timed music, and beautiful sets, scenes, and camera work, I accept some of Michael Bay's works as entertainment. It's not for everyone, or every time. But if you put yourself into a situation where a bunch of gigantic robots are duking it out in the middle of downtown LA, would you not flip out in excitement? Movies don't always have to teach, they can just be fun. And it's nice to know that he at least realizes his place, and isn't trying to pander to a different audience, or pretend to be something more... Beyond Pearl Harbor, that is.
