yeah looks like a hatchback, whats the deal with the recent design of rear ends with a that gradual sweeping rear window? seems to me its a lot of glass for not a lot of rear visibility.

I like it. Its the only car from Detroit in the last 25 years I would even consider over a BMW/Audi. Oddly enough, my biggest complaint is THE Caddy badge. It just screams 'old Fart!' in my mind.

I think it is the best looking American car I've seen since the Ford GT was axed. If I was in the market for a vehicle of this size and price I would take this over any offering from the big German 3 based on looks and assuming all else is equal.

actually, I really really like it. I haven't sat in a CTS since the redesign, but the first ones turned me off with low-quality switchgear. If that's been dealt with and the production version looks this good, I'll try again.

And I know we've been through this before, but shouldn't this be a "CTC"? Or perhaps an "ETC"?? I always loved mocking those poor Eldos that inherited the new naming convention at the end of their product cycle....

Cadillac designers have a tough job. A mid-size coupe from M-B or BMW is a no-brainer, and a Jag coupe is given sports car cachet.

But the hurt of a 1985 Coupe de Ville is too fresh in the mind (apologies to aficionados of ivory landau).

It'll look better in black, as that'll mute alot of the busy details on the front end.

Visibility=FAIL, but at least no one will ever mistake you for a bimmer or a Merc. Those cars are business suits. This car says, "suit plus earpiece".

I'm liking the general direction of the styling, but I have concerns about blind spots with how the trunk deck and c-pillar are situated. I also agree with others' comments about the hatch. Go big or don't go, man.

I think the designer ran out of space on the paper, hence the awful (IMO) back. Kinda like the old BMW Compacts or the short-arsed C series from Merc. Coupe my ass. The name 'Coupé' is elegant, the product isn't.

This is the shape that the VW Scirocco should have been
although its weird that GM made this car have hatchback styling but incorporated a small trunklid....I can definitely see this being a replacement for the XLR
in V series form and black paint

I personally think it looks like the designer stared for a few too many hours at that Countach poster he had on his wall in 1985. I might be interested in a V version of the coupe though somewhere down the line. Like maybe if I double my current salery, or make 50% and move back to depression USA (Michigan)

Like some Cadillacs of a bygone era, this thing needs a 3" drop in the rear. I like the overall styling but why bother with rear glass if all you can see is the top of the trunk.
