The BMW ones that drop into the sills, the roll under your car ones never produced, but displayed on a Lincoln MK VIII, gull wing, scissor, and suicide. I even like the rolling van type doors, when mounted as the front doors, as in some wacky French car I saw on this site at one time. Why dont more car makers try something like this on a cheap "lifestyle" vehicle... besides the RX-8 quad cab... I would love a subaru wagon with an old style American style side or bottom hinged tailgate... and suicide rear doors... I think the uniqueness will attract younger buyers, perhaps a Scion model could use one.
In conclusion, if at all feasible, and reliable, please put cool portals on affordable cars... Ill hold on to the roof rails of the wagon, and slide in dukes of hazzard style if they made the window big enough. Wouldn't work on an SVX though...
