Actually the Glock 26 is a 9mm, the Glock 27 is the .40 S&W. It is a sub-compact however, for a few resaons:

1. You cannot tell the caliber of the gun, It could either be a 9mm (mod G26) .40SW (mod G27) OR a .357sig (mod 33). They all have the exact same frame.

2.It has only one finger groove on the grip which tells me it is a sub-compact, plus the barrel is about 3". You can also tell by the finger groove, and the slide rail (for any tactical light/laser) it is a newer model made between 1998-present day.

There is no .380 Glock in the U.S. THere is one made, but it is not available for civilian sale within the United States.

For the record, I drive a 2000 Mustang GT, and I have a Beretta 8045 Mini-Cougar in my door, loaded with Corbon .45ACP 280gr. Hallow points. That way they will punch through the door frame if some guy tries to wash my windows at a stop light. In my trunk I have a rifle mount for either my Bushmaster AR-15, or my Remmington 870 12ga tactical shotgun. But to save weight, I rarely ever use it. Just incase of any urban Terrorists. BTW I live in Florida, where we have pretty good gun laws.

@nichomiz: I have one of those, which is why I'm not quite sure. The bump under the trigger guard looks wrong.

I'm not that familiar with my glock models though, so the american tupperware lovers might be right.

Time to settle the gun debate once and for all.

Unless more information is provided, it's a G26. That's a .40 sub-compact. Like someone said before me, the magazine opening is more proportional to a small-frame, and you can see a magazine behind it loaded with a 9mm-.40 range hollowpoint. .40 is the most common in hollowpoint, although 9mm and .380 HPs are out there.

As a kid in FL, I remember seeing LOTS of hunting rifles in truck windows. AFAIK, that's legal in a lot of places, provided the gun is not loaded.

Handguns are a lot more heavily regulated than rifles. I guess for every DC sniper, you've got a few hundred thousand hot-heads waiting to shoot someone with a handgun.

Regardless of whether its offered from the factory, I'm sure a custom color could be arranged from a gun shop or do it yourselfer. It would only involve painting the plastic parts, which don't really get exposed to heat, so a good spray enamel should do it.

Not that I'm about to go and spray paint one of mine with pink Rustoleum, but there might be someone out there that really, really wants a green Glock.

As far as stealthy gun compartments go, that's not very stealthy. Might as well keep it in the glovebox. A much better defense against car-jacking is a remote engine cutoff. Give up the car, then it goes dead a few blocks away. Way more sane that pulling out and busting caps, which will get your precious bimmer all shot up anyhow.

My great grandfather was a judge in Philadelphia in the 30s and 40s. For personal protection, he had a custom holster fabricated for the right side of the driver's seat. His custom, hair-triggered .32 auto with shaved trigger guard is still part of the family collection.

Packs a decent punch at close range, and it's really small.

It's certainly not a Sig. It looks to me like a Glock 26; the tell-tale is the little indentation at the back edge of the trigger guard where it meets the grip.

A: I posted this as a reminder to all the reason I don't give out my cell number. To answer the question I am originally from NJ, the home of car-jacking. Furthermore, Just because it CAN hold a gun doesn't mean you have to use it for that purpose. It is a latching compartment. Nothing more. The KIND of person that "feels the need to have a gun in the car" Is a law abiding citizen exercising his 2nd Amendment rights.
Q: What is the total mileage on the car/engine? What engine/transmission is in the car? Do you have records for maintenance/repair done on the car from new? Thanks.
A: When I bought the car it had 88,000 miles. It was titled in California and then sold to a man in FL that never registered it. That is who I bought it from about 1 year ago. As far as I know I am the 4th owner. The car has the original motor and trans. Engine was rebuilt and has approx 200 miles. The 4 speed manual trans was serviced and is tight with no issues. New Bavarian Motorsports clutch. Most of the new parts I have put on the car came from Bavarian Motorsports. I do have alot of records for the vehicle from the previous owner.
Q: Have a phone number for questions? Is it a tii engine? looks like a weber carb? whats the base horsepower? is the gun box lockable? etc.
A: It is a stock 2002 motor. I would have no problem driving this car across the country. It is a weber, I had dual side draft webers but they weren't very fuel efficient! Base horsepower for this motor is 100 but that is with stock carb and exhaust. The gun box has a latch but its not lockable. That would defeat the purpose of a gun in your car. This is legal in Florida but check your local laws. Sorry, but I don't give my number out due to way to many phone calls. I will give the winning bidder my number at the conclusion of the auction. Everything in the pics and description are accurate. The is a 100% custom vehicle so there is no warrenty expressed nor implied.

Oh and I forgot, the Spelling is horrible as well!

Most importantly, you can stand on the "custom hand made" fiberglass body panels which are glued on.

I suspect this is so your passenger can stand on the outside of the car while "bustin caps" at "da man."
