On plate tracks, one tends to lead to another, even more so late in the race. The cars get bunched back up. Tires cool a bit and maybe pick up some dirt. The drivers are getting anxious, a million plus $ will tend to do that to people. It all works to push the chances up.
I was impressed with stability of the cars in and out of traffic. Heck, even the cars the got sideways or even backwards, for the most part, were able to recover. That big-assed, boy racer wing makes a real difference.

There was some freaking awesome bump-drafting going on!!! Kurt Busch truly PUSHED Flyin Ryan to the front.
