E320 Diesels= Very Good Car. The E300 is roughly the same as the 320 Bluetec in america (same 3.0 liter engine) and roughly the same as the E320 CDI which my da happens to be the owner of. Bluetec, as you all probally know, contains a urea injection system to help please the librals. But, with out black smoke, its not a true diesel.

Frekin torque-machine. I would buy the Brabus kit in a second, and probally whatever Kleeman offers too, even if their body kits are crap-tastic.

The Bluetec diesel is definitely a step in the right direction. Too bad the car has too much "old man appeal." But a solid 5-person luxury hauler that gets close to 40mpg definitely makes this package attractive.

The kit is only 4% of the purchase price of the E-Class. Porsche sells leather air vents for about the same price. I would take this Brabus kit in a heartbeat.

@Murph: So 2006 was the "carryover" year for the '05 tdi models and this year there's nothing? That confused me with that EPA loophole with the model year designation mess.

I'd rather wait until the ECM hackers figure it out, then you can force the wastegate to stay closed 'till 34 PSI and tell the injectors to dump max fuel in the cylinders.

@Rust-MyEnemy: Ahh, but you see, this is the only upmarket Diesel car available in the US, sadly. It's Mercedes or VW at the moment.

I don't know why Bimmer is withholding their upcoming Diesels from everything but the 3-series and X-series over here...

My Boss has this package on his E320d. I drove it last tuesday and....

Meh.

All the Brabus pimpability and it felt flat and leaden compared to a BMW 535d. And the BRABUS badge on the back.... I'm not sure I liked looking like the regions most successful realtor / Estate Agent....
