I used to work with a guy (I didn't care for much) that had a Dodge Ram and he couldn't have been more proud. One day we were unloading equipment from it and I noticed it had cup holder in the plastic liner on the tailgate and mentioned it. He beamed and had some cocky response about how great the truck was. To which I replied "It gives you someplace to set your beer while you're waiting for a tow."

Well it was funny at the time...

@Charles_Barrett: well, while i do frequently take it through fast food drive thrus, i'm rarely super cruddy..i do show up at the dealership to get my oil changes in cut off shorts/dirty pants and the most wrinkled shirt i can find, just to force them to call me sir when i look like trash...it's the little things in life..

I try to dress sharply every day, and I do keep my Ram in the commuting rotation. I have actually gotten weird looks on campus when I jump out of my beater Dodge Ram.

Taking it to dinner in Palo Alto is also pretty satisfying, at least in my own mind.
