The barrier itself doesn't have a full crumple zone it just gives a little bit due to the padding; so the impact as it is to the tested vehicle is equal to two regular cars butting heads at 30mph.

On Clarkson's Supercar Showdown DVD they crash the G-Wiz into a wooden dining table turned on its side. The Front end of the 'car' was a mess, and you could hear the sizzle of battery acid spilling out onto the track.

The table got a bit scratched..
