I don't think the rental company is tied to the University, I hadn't bothered to look at their website earlier but it doesn't indicate any link to the University and my guess is that they're just using a similar name to imply a connection. A quick look at their rental pricing, and with 6 tenants they're paying around $50 a month each more than I do in a decent house with 3 people.
