@Roadster_Guy: Auto shows are the only chance the interior designers ever get to show off. If you design the outside of the car, there's a chance - maybe a small one, but a CHANCE - that the design will make it into production. But everyone KNOWS the interior on the production model will be available in beige or gray, with black trim. That's got to be soul-grinding, so when you get the chance, you have to go absolutely apeshit to compensate.

I don't mind the look of the JesusHatch on the outside, It has potential. Ugly as fuck on the inside, though. Typical! Where there's Jesus, there's bullshit. Turn around... turn around.

@3wheeler: Depends on which flat panels you are talking about. If these are flexible OLEDs, then they are frightfully expensive right now. They should quickly get cheap enough to use in automotive products though.

Flat panels are CHEAP. Skill in creating the graphics is immense (really). The guys that do that are very very skilled. And expensive.

What is the deal with flat-panel displays replacing all of the gauges & switchgear on concept models? Always strikes me as a half-assed effort, no real skill required beyond being able to make a flashy graphic.

This thing looks like the evil spawn of a Mazda2, the new Impreza, and Kermit the Frog.

"G4e" is Japanese for frog. Green on the outside, red on the inside.

Looking at the smaller pic I thought that this was a design student model. Looking at the higher res, I see that no, this is the show car. I like green but this shade is not working! And wait, the interior is mostly bright red!

The shape is ok for a micro Impreza kinda car, but I hope they are respraying it before the show.
