Sabine Schmitz is one of the official drivers of the Ringtaxi service, which means she drives paying customers around the Nurburgring at ludicrous speed. The service is sponsored by BMW. She also has her own show on an - admittedly small - German TV network.

So if she doesn't take herself too seriously, perhaps that's just her personality.

A person from Berlin really is called a Berliner.
Same for Hamburg -> Hamburger, Frankfurt -> Frankfurter and Wien (Vienna) -> Wiener. Only Americans are amused by the fact that all of these words have secondary connotations in a different context.

The Berliner is a a doughnut filled with jelly and has in most cases a sugar-topping. "Ich bin ein Berliner" has two meanings: 1. I'm a resident of Berlin! 2. I'm a doughnut!.
Since the residents of Berlin don't call this doughnut "Berliner", we call it "Pfannkuchen", his intention an the meaning was at least clear for Berlin residents.

Personally realizing what a challenge the Nordschleife is even in a silly simulator, I must say she did an impressive thing here.

In this clip from TopGear she does the 'Ring in 10:08, which is a respectable time for the amateur racer in a sports car. Thing is, she did it a huge van! "...overstier und understier und everyting!" (That's a Ford Transit, which looks to be the equivalent of the Mercedes/Dodge/Freightliner Sprinter UPS vans we see in the U.S.)
