Yeah, Bob, the Germans just don't build wagons that can reach 150mph. They all reach 155mph and would go a good deal higher still if the Greens there hadn't forced them to artificially neuter their engines. Plus, their cars don't need "rear end identity" to compensate for the fact that the front bumper looks like it fell off a snowplough.

I've never yet heard the man give an interview in which he didn't say anything really embarassing.

I am just waiting for the Mazdaspeed3 HHR SS comparo.

Also this new GM product has entirely too many letters in its name. Can't they call it the Breadvan SS or something. Actually saying H-H-R-S-S is just too much trouble for this sort of vehicle.

Looking at the HHRSS (hearse??) I can't help but remember the corvair station wagon...look at the taillights, and of course the Vega Kammback, MaxB speaks of "rear-end identity" I think we have the logical next-step in that great lineage. My local GM dealer is sporting a new red panel HHR in the marquis spot on his lot, having dethroned the Indy 500 pace car Corvette, but it's not an SS version, I'm sure it's just a matter of time.
