Originality abounds with this baby, especially with the new "No Rhyme or Reason" front-end amalgamation of Picasso's cast-off sketches. It seems as if the designer's straight edge was broken into several pieces and glued back together with an edible glue stick.

Or Honda's new design philosophy is "No lines shall ever connect!"

I mean the evolution of the very distinct Saturn headlights, just stretched outward. The emblem in the middle of the grill, look at it picture it painted red.

Overall, this really doesn't do it for me. There's just no continuity...it's a mish-mash of unflattering details. The Civic SI parked next to it looks waaaaay better.

Brand new cars can take the risk of shaking it up a bit but long running successes just don't fare well with 'em.

What happened here is Honda drew a good, if copycat design, and then ruined it in trying to make it 'original' by adding a worthless character line down the sides and about 10 unnecessary facets on the rear bumper and trunklid.

Also, it looks like the higher cost of stamping this ugly sheetmetal means that Honda can no longer afford LED taillights. The Accord's technology, like the rest of the design, is apparently also a step backwards.
