But if this thing, and others like it, costs the GNP of Belgium (or David Beckham's weekly wage)to repair if it should ever get bent, then presumably it doesn't actually go off road that often?

A few days ago Straightline ran a story on the upcoming Porsche Cayenne hybrid (Porsche Cayenne hybrid to use 1/3 less fuel). Now, thanks to Jalopnik, we have more info on the vehicle. According to Porsche, the Cayenne hybrid will be off-road capable.

But,
1) can they tune it for More Fuel Economy?
Like, I really only NEED 200 hp.

Very exciting, the name bit, given the Highlander will go 0-60 in the 'or 8 seconds' and manages 25/27 mpg.

Not sure if I should celebrate or not because 0-60 numbers for the v6 is anywhere from low 8s to 7.5 seconds.

Still, a hybrid SUV that gets 0-60 in 7 or 8 seconds, 25mpg, can actually go off-road and has the "Porsche" name is pretty exciting.
