It didn't quite have V-8 power like they advertised, but it sure sounds cool, and has great midrange punch.

According to Wikipedia, a Miller cycle engine is essentially an Atkinson cycle engine with forced induction. So by calling it a "naturally aspirated Miller cycle engine", they're actually referring to an Atkinson cycle engine.

Mazda used a Miller cycle engine on the old Millenia. It was a V6 with the power and fuel economy of a V8... which makes you wonder why they didn't just put a V8 in there.

I'd seriously love to see some Volkswagen engineers go after some crazy turbo'd/twincharged Miller-cycle action in really tiny displacements. If anyone can make it acceptably quick, they can.
