It’s been a while since we’ve done one of those “Here’s what I’m driving, ask me about it” things, so let’s get it started. Here’s what I’m driving: a lovely 2016 Audi TT. Ask me about it!

Mike tested one of these at launch and Máté did in Europe too, but now I have one for a couple days too. Both of them generally liked it and I do too, but with some reservations so far.

This one is a coupe model with the familiar 2.0-liter TFSI engine putting out a healthy 220 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It’s quicker than you expect with those numbers. Power goes to all four wheels via a six-speed DSG. That’s the only setup you can get in America, so move to Europe if you want the front-wheel drive diesel version with a manual.

Anyway, the car.

Things I like: it’s gorgeous in person, much better looking than in photos; quicker than I expected; Virtual Cockpit setup is an interesting experiment; DSG is great, as usual; did I mention it’s really pretty?

Things I don’t like as much: Interior’s not that intuitive, at least at first; some oddly cheap-feeling bits inside; doesn’t feel like a true sports car, because it isn’t; other offerings like the S3 and Golf R are more compelling to me.

Price is $50,600 as tested. More on it and better photos coming soon. What do you want to know about it?
