Workers have been busy on the MetroNorth Hudson Rail Line since last weekend's high-speed train wreck, this video captures the restoration of infrastructure in a quick time-lapse.
From the camera angle up on high, the teams of men and machines look like something from an HO-Gauge railway set in grandpa's attic. At time-lapse speed, they appear to me moving pretty efficiently.
The crash had serious consequences; four people lost their lives and 63 others were injured. As a regular rider of the Hudson Line myself, I most sincerely hope they put everything back correctly.
