Pitstop strategy can make or break a race, and that hasn't changed since the early days. What has changed are the rules, regulations, technology, and crazy amounts of precision that go into modern stops. It's gone from one guy with a hammer, to this.

A modern Formula One pitstop involves three guys changing each tire, with over 20 having roles in the whole thing. Back in 1950 only four people were allowed at all, and watching a guy change just two tires feels excruciatingly, painfully slow in comparison.

F1 should bring back the "one-guy-armed-with-only-a-hammer-to-change-the-tires" rule. That would make it so much better.
